How far would you go to help a charity?

Well, no need to ask David Beckham, as he already answered. His last contribuition for Sport Relief  was pretty amazing. Sport Relief is a biennial charity event, in association with BBC Sport, which brings together the worlds of sport and entertainment to raise money to help vulnerable people in both the UK and the world's poorest countries. This year it happened last week, between 19 and 21st March and it has raised £31,633,091 so far.

I don't know if it was a PR or marketing strategy for the football player, but one thing I am sure, I doubt that many sports people would do something similar. I really liked to see that this celebrety is very opened-minded and a very good sense of humor.

I just wish that smaller NGOs would have the same opportunity. I am a little bit pessimistic about these big events where administrative costs are often very high. But at least some money goes to the cause...
